Flow Process of PSA Oxygen Generation technology
PSA type oxygen generation technology is the first air compressor, which compresses the air from the atmosphere and increases the pressure of the air. It is followed by an oxygen generation unit which consists of an air receiver tank. The air goes into the air receiver tank and then goes through the air filtration system to the PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) tower. PSA tower is filled with ZMS. When pressurized air comes in contact with ZMS, the ZMS absorbs the gas except oxygen from the air. And oxygen goes into the surge vessel. As the pressure decreases, other gases go into the atmosphere through exhaust. Some of the gas from the surge vessel goes to the PSA tower for purging and the remaining gas is sent to the storage tank by rotameter. ZMS is being used in Oxygen Gas Plants to get the purity up to 93% Purity.
