The Air Pre-Cooling System (ACT & WCT) by Gaztron Engineering Pvt. Ltd. is a highly efficient setup designed to reduce air temperature from 110°C to 16°C for enhanced industrial process efficiency. Equipped with both an Air Cooling Tower (ACT) and Water Cooling Tower (WCT), this system removes harmful impurities such as NOx, SO2, and hydrocarbons, ensuring cleaner air delivery to subsequent stages. With four dedicated water pumps, Gaztron’s Air Pre-Cooling System provides controlled cooling for air in processes that demand precise temperature and impurity management.
Key Components and Operation of the Air Pre-Cooling System (ACT & WCT):
-
Air Cooling Tower (ACT):
Gaztron’s ACT is a packing-type cooling tower with two layers of packing material. This design facilitates efficient cooling by enabling air to pass from the bottom to the top of the tower, where it meets water flowing from top to bottom. This counterflow configuration helps remove contaminants like NOx, SO2, and C1+ impurities, ensuring the delivery of purified air to the next process stage. As the air exits the ACT, it reaches a temperature of approximately 15°C.
-
Water Cooling Tower (WCT):
The WCT provides consistent cooling water flow to the system. The lower stream of water is derived from the user’s chilling water tower and is pressurized by a recycling water pump before being introduced into the ACT. This stream converges with the upper chilling water stream, which is circulated from the top down, facilitating effective heat and mass transfer. The combined streams finally return to the chilling water tower after completing the cooling process.
-
Wire Mesh Separator:
After passing through the ACT, the air flows through a wire mesh separator, which captures remaining moisture droplets and impurities, preparing the air for the molecular sieve purification system.
-
Cooling Efficiency through Pump System:
Four dedicated water pumps circulate water through the ACT and WCT, optimizing heat exchange and maintaining desired temperature control. This precision ensures that air consistently reaches the purification system at approximately 15-16°C, ready for industrial use.
